Ingredients:
3 pears cut into wedges
2 green apples cut into wedges
10 pitted prunes
10 dried apricot or figs cut into slices
1 cinnamon stick
4-5 cloves
3 strips orange rind
400ml filtered water
Makes approx. 10 serves
1) Place all ingredients into a saucepan and bring to the boil
2) Simmer for approx. 5-8 minutes or until all the fruits are soft
*The dried fruits contain enough sugar to sweeten the compote
*You can also use stone fruit or berries when they are in season
